We wanted to do something unique that depicted the story of what really happens to some consumers stuck with this awful burden. We thought doing it in an almost kid-friendly way would be a great approach. It’s a fairy tale but it really hits home for many consumers burdened with credit card debt.
Highly inspired by Monopoly and the Vault Boy from Bethesda’s Fallout franchise. We loved the style and wanted to bring them to our story in a fun way.
There’s no real life monster but we do have a real life costume! It’s been worn on a handful of occasions—a fun side project that matches the animation.
We’d like to eventually create a more detailed published book. For now the idea has been put on hold as we adjust the story for the correct audience.
Our original goal was financial literacy. We wanted something fun, informative, and educational—an addition to what kids learn about money in school. Our ultimate wish is that it makes an impact.
We’d love to continue when time permits. We still plan to add changes and tweaks. It’s been a pleasure to work on this saga.
Believe it or not, not technically Halloween inspired! The word “monster” is something we used to call each other in our youth, in a positive way.
People love the idea but the story still hasn’t gotten as many eyeballs as it deserves. The monster has the ability to make a tremendous impact for younger and older adults navigating the credit scene.
